A new peer facilitated course for people experiencing gambling harm

Banyule Community Health is running a new course for people experiencing gambling harm.

The course will be presented by 2 facilitators who have experienced gambling harm and recovery and aims to help people make positive changes to their gambling behaviour. It will include education about relapse prevention, managing urges and triggers, the vicious cycle of gambling, mindfulness and self-care.

The course is appropriate for people wanting to make changes to their gambling behaviour.

About the course facilitators:

The facilitators bring with them own experiences of gambling harm and recovery and offer a non-judgemental and nurturing space to support growth and change. Both facilitators also have diverse experience in training, community services, mentoring group participants in lived experience groups (for gambling) and group facilitation.

Where: Banyule Community Health, 21 Alamein Rd West Heidelberg

When: Tuesday 24th October – Tuesday 5th December
